Dear Knitters,
     At Kathy's Kreations, we think the notion of "doing what you love" is important.  The difference between a knitter and someone who knits relates to how we define ourselves.  Those little idiosyncracies of truly passionate knitters (the propensity to stash, the gleam in the eye when touching a fabulous yarn, the comedy of finding forgotten unfinished projects, the sense of calm from the rhythmic click of needles) are just as much a part of us as our sense of humor or our creativity.
     Our recommended summer reading for all knitters are two fabulous fiction books by Debbie Macomber, The Shop on Blossom Street  and A Good Yarn.  These stories depict knitting as the ultimate virtual reality, a skill that transcends language and cultural differences.   Being a knitter connects us to a community of other knitters.  Just as in any other community, knitters are interested and involved in the lives of others.  We see this quite often with our knitting classes -- students enjoy hearing about someone's family or pet, or swapping a great recipe -- this goes hand-in-hand with learning a new finishing technique or a fun pattern stitch.  It's difficult to separate the "community" from the "craft".
     We are constantly striving to foster an environment for "knitters" to nurture their art and spark their creativity.    We are focusing on one of our favorite fibers as the summer comes to an end -- we hope you'll immerse yourself in the joy of knitting, and,
