Dear Knitters,
     Happy New Year!  We predict that 2005 is going to be another great year for knitters and crocheters.  The year begins with Kathy's book signing of XRX's Best of Knitter's Collection: Arans & Celtics at Barnes & Noble in Greensburg on January 3rd, and with a research interview done by reporter Marge Wertz for The Tribune-Review.  Marge's article, slated to appear in the Trib "Focus" section on January 28, includes indoor leisure time activities for all ages to enjoy during the winter months, and of course, knitting is planned to be featured!
      We have seen an increase in knitting & crocheting as a family pasttime, with moms and grandmothers teaching kids (and vice versa!).  Knitting is a universal language appealing to a variety of skill levels and age groups.  There is something for everyone, limited only by your imagination and willingness to learn.  Fibers run the gamut from fine lace weights to super-bulky strands, with needles made from plastic, bamboo or metal -- choose whatever pleases you and make something beautiful with your hands.
    We encourage you to resolve to try something new in 2005 -- including colorwork, cables, lace, or slip stitch techniques.  For new knitters and crocheters, perhaps a more challenging project like socks, shawls, ponchos, throws, or your first sweater is just the ticket.  Whatever you chose, we've got the products, know-how, and classes to help you achieve success.  Our current promotion will get you start off in toasty fashion:
